We are back on schedule to resume our first Saturday walking/hiking group. Weather looks good for this Saturday and there is no rain in the forecast between now and then.
We will start in the Parklands, at the Beckley Creek Park and gather in the large parking lot by the visitors center. As our group has grown having sufficient trailhead parking is essential until we can arrange carpool options. Beckley Creek Park can be reached via Shelbyville Road just past the Gene Snyder. You may turn right onto Beckley Creek Road to enter the park on the left at the bottom of that road, or enter The Shelbyville Road entrance and drive through the park until you get to the visitor center.
We will start with a paved path and have a trail hike option for those who wants to do a bit more distance, trail hike approximately 2 miles). We will meet at 10:30, bring water and a snack if you are planning to do the additional trail hike as well as walking poles.
