Day Trippers, let’s get ready to TRIP! I am planning a fun trip the Historic Hermitage Farm in Goshen KY for Wednesday, May 26th. We will meet at the parking lot of Barn 8, the restaurant at 11:00 for a lovely Picnic Lunch inside. After lunch we will be escorted on a trip to the stables to see the Mares and their Foals frolicking in the paddock, then it is on to visit the Stallions up close and personal and the breeding operation. We will also be given a short tour of their gardens from which our lunch will be produced. It will be a fun day in the beautiful setting of the famous 200 yr. old thoroughbred farm, which produced a Kentucky Derby Winner and is now owned by the iconic Steve Wilson and Christy Lee Brown. The walking is easy and the pace is leisure. The cost is $38.00 per person for the lunch and tours and, of course, a visit to the Gift Shop. Your check will be your reservation and I must receive it by Thursday, May 20th. If there are less than 15 participants the price will be $40:00 but I am sure we have 15+ eager Day Trippers to GO!
