Hiking Group- Chair Mary Helen Davis, 262- 2351. Thus far the group has completed 4 first Saturday strolls. We started in October with Tom Sawyer Park, November we did the Black Willow Trail in the Parklands, December the Anchorage trail and January 2nd we were at the Waterfront Botanical gardens. This group generally averages between 10-12 people and we are doing short conversational strolls in February and March on paved walkways with plans to begin longer more strenuous trails in the spring. Our next hike is scheduled for February 6th. I generally send out an email to the group the week before after looking at the long range forecast and conditions of where we plan to walk.
